The Crimean area Koktebel, known for its unique wines, has
stretched out in the south-east coast of the Black Sea at the foot of
the Kara-Dag mountain. They received that originality from Kara-Dag,
which appeared back in Jurassic period, about 150 min. years ago. It
was that extinct volcano, which formed much the ecology of Koktebel.
Volcanic rocks influenced the composition of local soils. There are
no more places in the Crimea where one could find such rich in minerals
and microelements soils.

Once raging volcano set free from its depths the stone of fire, the
silicon. It has long ago been found out that silicon, except the ability
of striking the fire from, can be used for purifying of water , i.e. by
means of natural physical process and the water is purified from "dirty
memory" turning into its original state of purity. In Koktebel the soil
itself is rich in silicon and that is why the vine is fed by clean water
here. It is practically impossible to reach such an effect at large
territory. That is why the vine growing in Koktebel is unique.
The vine passes its unique properties to the wines and brandies of
Koktebel. They bear the richness and originality of the area where vines
grow together with immeasurable love, anxious and at the same time majestic
soul of a wine-maker.
